The idea to create a bond between former students and their “home university” has gained more and more importance during the previous years. First experience could be gathered within the project Saxon-Czech Tertiary Academic Association („Sächsisch-Tschechischen Hochschulkollegs“).
The exchange of ideas between Czech alumni of Chemnitz University of Technology and current students of CUT provide valuable suggestions especially in view of procurement of placements or possible business start-ups after the completion of the studies. Therefore, this sub-project is envisaged to be expanded.  
It is, thus, aspired to establish a close link between former Czech students who studied in Chemnitz to their Alma Mater. They should be encouraged to represent the interests of the university.
 Furthermore, the participants should be motivated (e.g. by particular contracts) for a commitment to the further development of the Saxon-Czech border area. For that reason, meetings are scheduled that offer comprehensive agendas as well as specific recommendations for action.
